Medicaid billing enrollment is in process
Akwa Medical Transport LLC is working through the provider-enrollment, authorization, contracting, licensing and operational steps required before Medicaid transportation billing can begin.
What “in process” means
We are not representing Akwa Medical Transport LLC as currently approved to bill Medicaid. Medicaid rides will be accepted and billed only after all applicable provider enrollment, payer or transportation-network participation, authorization, licensing, insurance and operational requirements are satisfied.
For future Medicaid rides, eligibility and trip authorization may depend on the member's health plan, transportation broker, destination, medical purpose and applicable program rules.

Private-pay charges and government or contracted payer reimbursement are not necessarily the same. When service is furnished under Medicaid, a managed-care organization, transportation broker, facility agreement or other lawful contract, billing will follow the applicable authorization, fee schedule, contract and program requirements.
